The following document outlines the Terms and Conditions for the next website.
Terms and Conditions Correct as of

This section sets out Next’s general returns policy. This returns policy is in addition to your statutory rights, and does not limit or affect your statutory right to return goods, including your Cooling-off Rights.

If you are not satisfied with the goods that you have purchased from Next, you may return any unworn items (in their original condition) within 28 days of receiving your order for a full refund. We cannot accept the return of sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection and hygiene reasons, and which have been unsealed following delivery (this does not affect your statutory rights, for example where such goods are faulty).


To return goods to a Next store

Take the item to any Next store in the Republic of Ireland with your delivery note. Any returns made to a Next store will be credited to your payment method within 14 days.


To return goods via post

Please use the returns label provided on your delivery note. You must pay the cost of postage and this will not be refunded to you by Next. The item(s) will be credited to your payment method within5 -7 days of receipt of the goods.


Exceptions to the Returns Policy

(a) contracts for the supply of goods that are made to order, on the basis of your individual choice or decision;

(b) contracts for the supply of goods that are clearly personalised;

(c) contracts for the supply of sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection and hygiene reasons, and which have been unsealed following delivery;

(d) contracts for the supply of goods that are inseparably mixed with other items after their delivery.

Please read these terms of use (“Terms”) carefully. These Terms govern your access and use of this website and the related products, services, content and technology we offer (together, the “Website”), which includes accessing, browsing or registering to use the Website. These Terms apply to both visitors and registered users. By accessing or using the Website, you confirm that you have read, understand and accept the Terms, are entering into a legally binding contract with us, and are agreeing to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms you must not use or access the Website.

You are entering into these Terms with Next Retail Limited (“Next”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under registration number 4521150. Additional terms and policies may apply to purchases of goods or services and to specific portions or features of the Website, including competitions, special offers, and similar events. These additional terms and policies are incorporated into these Terms.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and the additional terms that apply to a service or feature offered through the Website, the terms that apply to that service or feature shall take precedence to the extent of such conflict.

We may change these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookies Policy from time to time for example, to reflect changes to the Website, the needs of our customers, our business plans, or changes in law. We therefore recommend that you read these Terms regularly. If we make a material change, we will try to provide you with reasonable notice through the Website or by other means. If you do not agree to a change, you may close your account and stop accessing or using the Website. Your continued use or access of the Website after we publish or send a notice about a change means that you accept the change.

If you create and use an account with Next, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to it, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. If you are under 18, you may use nextdirect.com only with the authority of a parent or guardian. Next reserves the right to refuse to supply any individual or company, to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in our sole discretion. We may combine the information you give us with information from other companies and use it to improve and personalise our services, content and advertising. This may also be done on a reciprocal basis. We may also contact you for market research purposes. You agree that we may use Personal information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti fraud checks..

Your order for goods is accepted and a contract is formed between Next and you when we despatch the goods you have ordered and not before. A contract is not formed at the point in time that payment has been taken from you by Next, nor at the point in time that you receive an email from Next acknowledging receipt of your order. Until the goods are despatched the order may not be accepted by Next, or may be cancelled by you. Exceptions apply to orders for personalised items and goods made to your order which cannot be cancelled by you once you have received an email confirmation that your order has been received, as such items and goods may already be in production as a result of your order. For a full list of exceptions to items you can return please see under the heading EXCEPTIONS TO THE RETURNS POLICY. For security reasons, until you have placed an order for goods, received your first statement and a payment has been received for those goods, you will be unable to order gift cards. For security reasons we may restrict the volumes of certain items to be sold in any one transaction. Following formation of the contract, Next shall continue to own any goods ordered until it has received payment in full from you, even though the goods may have already been delivered to you.

Orders will be charged at €2 for shipping per order

· Delivery of your order is also free to any of our Next stores. You can select a convenient store when you place your order. When collecting your order from your selected Next store, please ensure you take your order confirmation (supplied by email) and the credit card you use to pay as forms of ID..

Please allow extra time for delivery for local holidays, UK national holidays, weekends and sale time. Next reserves the right to amend or change the free delivery offer at any time, but we promise to notify customers at least 14 days in advance. Changes to delivery charges will not affect orders that have already been placed.

Delivery charge of Large items

2 person delivery.

A delivery charge of €15.00 will be applied.

Your items will be delivered by a 2 person team who will place the furniture in the room of your choice and unwrap the items at your request.

Delivery to stores is free and will take a minimum of 5-6 working days. This service is available in over 400 Next Stores but is not available for orders made on a Next Account until you have received your first statement and you have made a subsequent payment, for made to order items, digital photos and photo gifts, fresh flowers or selected large/bulky items. When collecting your order please ensure you take your order confirmation (supplied by email), the credit card used to pay for the order and/or proof of identification e.g. Driving License, or utility bill.

Furniture and Sofas will be delivered to your home within 10 working days. If your order consists entirely of 10 day delivery items furniture or sofas and they are in stock then you will be offered a delivery date within 10 working days. If any of your items are unavailable at time of order, the delivery will be outside this lead time. If the first delivery date you are offered is out of the 10 working day period then contact the customer services team on 0333 777 8077# Note: Customers ordering one or more items in an order will only be charged once.

Delivery charge of Large items

2 person delivery.

A delivery charge of €15.00 will be applied.

Your items will be delivered by a 2 person team who will place the furniture in the room of your choice and unwrap the items at your request.


Lifetime Structural Guarantee for Furniture Frames and Dining Tables

For selected Next Furniture items (which will feature the Next Lifetime guarantee logo) purchased from January 1st 2023, our Structural Guarantee covers your furniture against manufacturing faults or defects of the frame construction from the date of delivery. Items of garden furniture, mattresses, recliner sofas & chairs and children’s furniture are not covered by this guarantee. When claiming, you will be required to provide proof of purchase. Your guarantee provides a repair service should your furniture item fail during the guarantee period. We reserve the right to use alternative materials, where the original is no longer available if fabric needs to be replaced in order to carry out a frame repair, this may not be exactly the same as the original fabric, but we will try to find the closest match from available current fabric. If your product cannot be repaired, or it is not cost effective for us to carry a repair, we will replace it with the same model, where available or, if this is no longer available, substitute an equivalent specification or value.


This guarantee does not cover: the feet of the item; where there is evidence of accidental or deliberate damage; where an item has been modified, altered or repaired by anyone other than us or at our instruction; wear and tear; where you have failed to properly maintain the item; if the structure has been subject to adverse moisture, or has been used in a non-domestic environment; if the product is in an unsanitary condition (for example, caused by pets), or exposure to chemicals or fluids. We reserve the right to refuse to collect and/or dispose of any unsanitary product. This guarantee is not transferable, if you sell or donate your furniture item to someone else.

All Sale items are subject to availability. Next day delivery is not available for Sale orders. During sale periods, please allow 14-21 days for your delivery. Free Delivery and other offer order codes remain the property of Next, are non-transferable and may not be reproduced in any form or used in conjunction with any other offer.

You have the right to cancel a contract within 14 days without giving any reason (subject to the exceptions listed below).

The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day:

(a) on which you acquire, or a third party (at your request) acquires (other than the carrier), physical possession of the goods (in the case of a single order for goods delivered as part of a single delivery); or

(b) on which you acquire, or a third party (at your request) acquires (other than the carrier), physical possession of the last of the goods (in the case of a contract relating to multiple goods ordered by you in one order and delivered separately); or

(c) on which you acquire, or a third party (at your request) acquires (other than the carrier), physical possession of the last lot or piece (in the case of a contract relating to delivery of a good consisting of multiple lots or pieces).

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us Next Retail Limited, Desford Road, Enderby, Leicester, LE19 4AT, UK, 0333 777 8077 or IEhelp@nextdirect.com of your decision to cancel this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation without delay.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us) without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us or return the goods not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation of the contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

Simply return any unused item within 14 days for a full refund (provided it is in a new, unused condition) to the store your item was delivered to. Please remember to bring your delivery note and the credit card you used to purchase the items for a full refund. Unfortunately, stores cannot exchange items. You can also return your items via your nearest Post Office using the returns label on the reverse of your delivery note

Exceptions to Cooling-off Rights

Cooling-off Rights do not apply in certain circumstances. We have set out below those exceptions most likely to apply to purchases from the Website:

(a) contracts for the supply of goods that are made to order, on the basis of your individual choice or decision;

(b) contracts for the supply of goods that are clearly personalised;

(c) contracts for the supply of sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection and hygiene reasons, and which have been unsealed following delivery;

(d) contracts for the supply of goods that are inseparably mixed with other items after their delivery.

Next welcomes and learns from complaints. We aim to deal with complaints speedily and sympathetically. All complaints are logged, investigated and replied to.

Where complaints related to Consumer Credit are not resolved to your satisfaction you may have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, for independent investigation. You may also lodge a complaint with the CCPC (https://www.ccpc.ie/).

In the event of a dispute between you and us, you have the right to refer the dispute to the EU’s Online Dispute Resolution Platform at https://ec.europa.eu/odr. If you decide to use this service, please use the following Next email address when completing the form ODR@next.co.uk.

The prices quoted are those ruling at the time of production. Due to circumstances beyond our control prices may have to be altered up or down, including any alterations to the rate of value added tax. If for this, or any other reason, an item is not acceptable, it may be returned providing it is sent back within 14 days and is in new condition. Certain products cannot be returned. See section above, for details. All prices shown are cash prices in Euros (€). We reserve the right to accept or reject orders, to refuse applications or with prior written notice to close an account. Prices of goods displayed in and ordered online may differ from prices in store. You must provide your payment details at the time of placing your order. We will request payment for the full amount on confirmation of your order.

All orders for products are subject to availability. In the event of supply difficulties we reserve the right to substitute items of equal quality and value. You will be notified of such substitutes when you place your order.

Next designers take great care with the colours used in the collections. The limitations of colour reproduction and the individual colour settings of your screen may mean a slight variation. Every reasonable care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions are accurate. However, specifications may change.

We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in the Website, including text, graphics, user interfaces, visual interfaces, illustrations, photographs, trademarks, logos and computer code, the design, structure, arrangement, selection, coordination, expression, and ‘look and feel’ of the Website (together, “Our Content”). All of these rights are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and treaties around the world. All rights are reserved to the relevant owner or licensee of those works. Your use of the Website and Our Content does not grant you any rights in relation to any of the intellectual property rights or other associated rights.

You may not alter, reproduce, republish, sell, disseminate, distribute, transmit, broadcast or commercially exploit Our Content, unless you have received our prior written consent.

You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from the Website for your personal reference and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to material posted on the Website. You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.

You must always acknowledge our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of material on our site.

You must not use any part of Our Content on the Website for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors.

If you print off, copy or download any part of the Website in a way that breaches these Terms, your right to use the Website will cease immediately.

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected or actual improper, illegal, or unauthorised use of Our Content or the Website (or any part of it) and we reserve the right to take appropriate legal action.

We are unable to accept credit cards that are due to expire within the next FIVE Days. Card details are checked and verified by a third party and goods are despatched once authorisation has been obtained.

· Your Gift Card can be used by you if you are the purchaser or given as a gift. You can use the card in full or part payment for goods purchased in participating Next Retail stores. This card cannot be used to purchase from Next online or to pay a Next online account and cannot be used at www.next.co.uk or www.nextdirect.com.

The card can be activated for a minimum €1 and a maximum €250 and can be added to it at any time (up to a total maximum of €250 / £200). Any payment credited to the card which is subsequently dishonoured will result in the dishonoured credit to your card being revoked.

The value of your purchases will be deducted from the balance on your card when presented; any remaining balance can be used against future purchases.

Purchases and refunds made outside of the ROI will be subject to currency conversion at the prevailing daily rate.

The Gift Card is not intended for re-sale and cannot be exchanged for cash. If any item purchased with a Gift Card is subsequently exchanged for an item of a lower price or refunded, any money owing will be added to the remaining balance on the card or a new gift card will be issued to you.

To check your balance at any time call 016968210 in the ROI or 0333 777 8800 in the UK. For UK call charges contact your service provider.

Your balance will be updated after every purchase and will be shown on your till receipt.

  • · The card will automatically expire 24 months after the last time that you use it to make a purchase or check your balance and any remaining balance will be deducted.
  • Next cannot accept responsibility for your card if it is lost, stolen or damaged. It will not be replaced or its value refunded in any of these circumstances.
  • This card remains the property of Next and is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card.
  • Next reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or discontinue the card at any time. Your statutory rights are not affected.
    • The offer is valid for orders over the minimum value stated in your communication.

    • The offer is valid until the expiry date shown on your communication.

    • The offer can only be activated once the voucher PIN has been registered at nextdirect.com. A voucher PIN can only be registered once.

    • The offer can only be used for purchases made online at nextdirect.com. It is not valid for telephone transactions. Redemption of the offer involves registering at nextdirect.com.

    • The offer is only valid on introductory orders with nextdirect.com for new customers only. One voucher PIN per customer only.

    • If the order is returned, the value of the offer is non refundable.

    • The voucher PIN cannot be exchanged for cash. No change or refund will be given.

    • Next cannot accept responsibility for the loss of your voucher PIN. It will not be replaced or its value refunded if this happens.

    • Offer is open to residents of selected countries that are over 18 years old only.

    • Next reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or discontinue the offer at any time.

    • Your statutory rights are not affected.

    Disturbances in the delivery due to events which are unforeseeable, unavoidable and beyond our control and for which we are not responsible, such as force majeure events, war, natural disasters or pandemics we release ourselves for the duration of this disturbance and to the extent of its effect from our duties of performance. Agreed delivery periods shall be extended by the duration of such disturbance. Next must be informed of such disturbance in adequate form and immediately. Where the end of such disturbance is unforeseeable or where the disturbance lasts more than two months, either party has the right to withdraw from the contract concerned (or its services not yet fulfilled) and/or to terminate the contract without notice.

    If a court of competent jurisdiction finds any part of these Terms to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable then the court should modify the terms to make that part enforceable while still achieving its intent. If the court cannot do that, the parties agree to ask the court to remove that unenforceable part and still enforce the rest of these Terms.

    If we do not act to enforce a breach of these Terms, that does not mean we have waived our right to enforce these Terms. We may take any relevant steps against you later.

    These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law. The parties hereby submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. All contracts will be concluded in the English language.

    If you are a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these Terms including the paragraph above, affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of local law.
